The Bristol Blues Base Ball Club is a group of ball players dedicated to preserving the history of the game through the "living" history of vintage base ball matches and exhibitions against other similar clubs. The Bristol nine trace their roots to the Bristol Base Ball Club, an amateur "barnstorming" club which existed from about 1866 until 1885. Like the Bristols of old, the Blues will play all comers, specializing in 1860's through 1880's style of play.
The Blues are pleased to have the financial support of several local and national sponsors, including the George Greer Company, Aidan's Pub, Ross Pharmaceuticals, McCarthy & Associates Insurance Company and the Bristol Parks and Recreation Department, which generously provides the Blues with access to the Bristol Town Common for games and practices.
